     It gives me immense pleasure and a profound sense of responsibility to serve as the Principal of S.A.S. Government Degree College, Narayanapuram, Eluru District, Andhra Pradesh. I am deeply honoured to lead an institution that has a rich legacy of academic excellence and a steadfast commitment to empowering rural youth, particularly women, through quality higher education.

      At the outset, I express my sincere gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner of Higher Education, Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Narayana Bharat Gupta, IAS, the Department of Collegiate Education, and all stakeholders for entrusting me with this prestigious responsibility.

     S.A.S. Government Degree College was established with the noble vision of making higher education accessible to students from rural and economically weaker sections of society. We proudly remember the invaluable contribution of Sri Chintalapati Vara Prasada Murthy Raju, an eminent freedom fighter, visionary philanthropist, and educationist, whose generous donation of 5.77 acres of land laid the foundation for this institution. His dream of educating rural women continues to guide every step of our journey.

      In the rapidly evolving world of the 21st century, education must extend beyond classrooms and examinations. Our mission is to nurture intellectually competent, socially responsible, ethically grounded, and professionally skilled graduates who are capable of addressing local, national, and global challenges.

      Guided by the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and under the leadership of the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE), Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), and Adikavi Nannaya University, our institution is committed to delivering multidisciplinary, skill-oriented, learner-centric, and outcome-based education. We continuously integrate academic learning with employability skills, digital competence, innovation, entrepreneurship, research, community engagement, and environmental consciousness to prepare our students for meaningful careers and responsible citizenship.
