
Definition: Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is the movement started by the government of India and a voluntary on campus intervention is being implemented in the higher Educational institutions, aiming at heightening their risk perception and preventing HIV as well as promoting voluntary blood donation among youth between the age of 17-25 yrs.
Purpose: The red ribbon is a symbol for both drug prevention and for the fight against AIDS.
Objective: The main objectives of Red Ribbon Club are to reduce occurrences of HIV / AIDS infections among youth by raising awareness, to instill among students the value of service towards community, develop healthy life style and increase access to safe adequate qualities of blood to all needy by promotion of regular voluntary.
